Before joining the Federal Defenders, Annalisa Mirón was the executive director of NYU Law School’s Bickel & Brewer Latino Institute for Human Rights, an institute dedicated to serving Latino communities. She earlier worked as an attorney at the Neighborhood Defender Service of Harlem and with the Criminal Justice Project of the NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund. Mirón received her M.A. in Law and Society from NYU Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and her J.D. from NYU School of Law, where she was inducted into the Order of the Coif. She currently co-teaches the Federal Defender Clinic at NYU School of Law.
