Jullian Harris-Calvin is a graduate of the University of Southern California and UCLA School of Law, where she specialized in Critical Race Studies and Public Interest Law and Policy. Prior to joining Federal Defenders of New York, Jullian worked in the Trial Division and Community Defender Division of the Public Defender Service for the District of Columbia. As a trial attorney, Jullian defended clients facing felony charges in D.C. Superior Court. In her practice at the Community Defender Division, Jullian represented clients in matters related to conditions of confinement at District of Columbia and Federal Bureau of Prisons facilities. She also provided legal services to adults returning to their communities after incarceration.
