Robert M. Baum has been a public defender for over 30 years and is a well-known commentator on criminal defense matters. Prior to joining the Federal Defenders in 1996, Mr. Baum was the Attorney-in-Charge of the Criminal Defense Division of the Legal Aid Society.
Mr. Baum has won numerous awards for his work as a public defender and is a frequent speaker on criminal justice issues. He teaches trial advocacy at New York Law School.
Mr. Baum is a graduate of Brooklyn College and the Syracuse University College of Law.
