Isaac Wheeler is a graduate of Yale College and NYU Law School. He clerked for Judge Allyne Ross of the Eastern District of New York and then-Judge Sonia Sotomayor of the Second Circuit Court of Appeals. Before joining the Federal Defenders, he worked as legal director of the immigration practice of The Bronx Defenders, and as litigation attorney and later legal director of the Immigrant Defense Project.
