Jonathan Bach
Jonathan Bach, Chair of the board, is a partner at Shapiro Arato Bach. He specializes in securities litigation, internal corporate investigations, white-collar criminal defense and complex commercial litigation. He has successfully represented defendants in numerous federal and state criminal trials and has represented individuals and entitites in a range of high profile criminal and regulatory investigations. He has also authored amicus briefs for the United States Supreme Court and testified before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
Mr. Bach has served as a past president and board member of the Board of Directors of the New York Council of Defense Lawyers and on the adjunct faculty of Columbia Law School, where he has taught seminars on federal criminal practice. Earlier in his career, Mr. Bach served as a federal public defender in the Southern District of New York.
Mr. Bach received his JD from Yale Law School in 1990, where he was a senior editor of the Yale Law Journal. He recieved a BA, summa cum laude from Yale University in 1984, and was a member of Phi Beta Kappa. He clerked for the Honorable Louis H. Pollak, U.S. District Court of the Eastern District of Pennyslvania.
