Tamara Giwa joined the Federal Defenders in 2019. Before joining Federal Defenders, Tamara spent eight years at the Legal Aid Society, most recently as a staff attorney in the DNA Unit, and prior to that as a staff attorney in the Criminal Defense Practice. Tamara began her career in 2007 as a staff attorney with the Brooklyn Family Defense Project. She is a graduate of Vanderbilt University Law School and Duke University.
